If you are interested in digital photography, you would need to update
your equipment every 2 years because digital photography has
been more common. Before, you could use gear up to 25 years before
having to update. If you would prefer to be a commercial photographer
you will need to update technology and be willing to spend some
money. Photographers will continue to use digital imaging equipment
more often to correct mistakes that appear in photos. Photographers
will still be able to do the same thing through the correct lighting and
other technical skills. As life goes on there will be more new and better
technology that photographers would need to be exposed to. This is
why they need to update their gear often.
